When people think of ministry, they think they need to have special talents

or skills in order to serve God.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

Having the heart to serve, and a desire to help others is all

you need to become a volunteer in God’s Family Bible Church.

Come to church any Sunday at 9am,

and we will let you choose which ministry you want to try out for the day.

No commitment, no paperwork- just come and serve!

If you enjoy the ministry, then you can speak to the Department Head,

and you will officially be a member of that department.

If you serve and decide it is not for you, then the following Sunday,

you can try something else! It’s that simple!

No muss, no fuss!

These are some of our current ministries,and a short description

of what they do.

J.A.M Kids – “Jesus And Me”  Children’s Church - This exciting ministry is devoted to building and inspiring our children to be planted in God’s word. If you like teaching kids, or training them in singing, dancing – or you just enjoy their energy, then come and volunteer in the children’s ministry!  Proverbs 22:6 “  Train up a child inthe way he should go, and when he is old he shall not depart from it.”

Hedges & Highways  - This is our evangelical outreach. Hedges and Highways goes out into the street, to minister to people in their community. They take food and clothing, to show the love of Christ, and to extend the hand of love to those who need it the most. This is a fulfilling ministry, that can help you to bless others, and to minister to those who would otherwise be lost.  Matthew 25:35-4035For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: 36Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. 37Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? 38When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? 39Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? 40And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. ”

Praise & Worship - Our dynamic Praise and Worship team inspires the congregation to exalt and praise our Lord. This is the ministry that brings us, through music, singing, and praise, to a place where we get connected with the Holy Spirit. If you can sing, or play any musical instrument, then you need to come and share your gift, and help this team serve in God’s house. Psalm 150:6 “Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.

Dare to Believe Youth Ministry – Teens face a harsh world, with the media bombarding them constantly with images and promises of an easy life. We understand what they face, and Dare to Believe is committed to teaching them how to arm themselves with the Word of God, and seek answers for themselves in the Bible. Through fun, fellowship, and exciting praise that is done by teens, for teens, we empower them to fight off whatever gets thrown their way. Isaiah 40:30-31 30Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:31But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint”

Christ Cafe – Do you enjoy being hospitable? Do you always host get togethers and functions, and love it? Then you need to come over to Christ Cafe, and volunteer. This wonder ministry is the area that hosts all functions that involve food! Each special event involves the Cafe, from the Lunches and dinners for the Ministers conference, to lunches for the kids at Bible Camp. Every Sunday, they provide coffee and pastries before service, and light snacks and refreshments after service. So if you like to make tummies happy, and love serving with love and comfort, then volunteer at the Christ Cafe!  1Peter 4:10“As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.”

Transportation - Every Sunday, and every Friday, we use our school buses to provide transportation to and from the church, for Sunday Service and Youth Group. If you enjoy driving, and know Palm Coast, then come and drive and help us bring others to the house of God. Sometimes, it can be something as simple as needing a ride, that can save a person. If you have a CDL, or if you can drive a van, we would love to have you come and help us bring people to God’s house. Help us carry them to Him.  Mark 2:4 “And when they could not come near to him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay.”

Ushers- This ministry maintains order in God’s house, and assists the Pastor in keeping the service running in good order. Our God is not the author of confusion, and Ushers play a vital role in preserving God’s order. If you are a people person, and love to maintain order, help others to find what they need, or simply love being helpful and cheerful, then this ministry can use your help!  1 Cor 14:33“For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.”

Audio/Visual -  In today’s church, we use technology to enhance the church experience. This ministry is responsible for the audio and visual presentations, video clips, words for the praise songs, scriptures on the screen, and insuring the best quality of sound for the music and the microphones. They make sure everyone can hear and see what is going on during service. Having a desire to provide excellent sound and visual aids during the service, is something you would like to do, then come and join the Audio/Visual department. Romans 10:17“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

“Web, Media, Photography - Do you love taking pictures? Are you the person in your family that everyone knows you come with a camera, or a video camera? Have you developed skills in Photoshop, or are desiring to learn how to build a website? This ministry is responsible for the website, and acting as historian for the church. All pictures for each event is carefully taken, and then shared through various media during the year. Do you love Facebook and other social media? Then we could use you in the Web, Media and photography department. Psalm 17:15 “And I–in righteousness I will see your face; when I awake, I will be satisfied with seeing your likeness.”

Guest Relations – This ministry is an important one to new comers to our church. Each week, in the Guest Lounge, these volunteers will greet and chat with those who are attending our church for the first time. This is an area where you love people, love to talk, and love making people feel welcomed and at home! Come and help us take care of our first time guests, and treat them like kings and queens for the day!  John 13:34-35“³⁴ “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.³⁵ By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

Food Pantry - Every week we distribute food for free from our food pantry. We have been able to bless thousands of families through our pantry, and each year it grows. If you have a desire to help feed those who are struggling, going through a tough time, and give them hope, then the food pantry is the place to be! This is a ministry of love, and will bless you as you bless others!  Mark 6:41-44 ⁴¹And when he had taken the five loaves and the two fishes, he looked up to heaven, and blessed, and brake the loaves, and gave them to his disciples to set before them; and the two fishes divided he among them all. ⁴²And they did all eat, and were filled. ⁴³And they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments, and of the fishes. ⁴⁴And they that did eat of the loaves were about five thousand men.”

Administration - As the church grows, so will the need for those who help run things behind the scenes. Answering phones, making copies, assisting the Pastor with visitors, running errands, purchasing supplies, coordinating meetings and helping to keep the church congregation informed, is just a few of the many tasks that the administration ministry does. Are you an organized person, with a love of keeping order and helping the Pastor? Then come and join the Administration department and help them keep the church running efficiently and effectively. 1 Cor 14:40 “Let all things be done decently and in order.”

Traffic  & Parking – Do you love to drive? Are you someone that wants to help, and you love to run? Come and join the traffic department park cars, and insure everyone gets parked timely and effectively. As long as you can drive a car, and are willing to be the first face that anyone coming to church sees, then this is the ministry for you! Gal 6:9″And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

Maintenance - Keeping God’s house in order, especially in one as large as this one, requires a lot of hard work. The maintenance department needs help in keeping the building in good order. Painting, carpentry, tile work, plumbing, electrical, landscaping, cleaning- all needs to be done every week to maintain what we have labored so hard to build. If you are handy, and love to make things, or fix things, then come and join our maintenance department. Help us keep the shine on this house! 2 Sam 7:13 “He shall build an house for my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom for ever.”

Dance Ministry - Next to praise, God loves dancing! This ministry is for people of all ages and abilities! We have youth dance team, a step dance team, and a woman’s dance team. So if you love to dance, and would love to dance for the Lord, come and have fun praising Him with the very talent and skills He blessed you with! Come and dance like David danced- with all your might! 2 Sam 6:14 “And David danced before the LORD with all his might; and David was girded with a linen ephod.”

Spanish Ministry – We serve a God, who created variety. In keeping with this understanding, we have a Spanish ministry. If you can speak, write, and read Spanish, and would love to help reach the Spanish community, then this is the ministry for you. This ministry is growing, and can use those who desire to serve God, and have many different talents and gifts. Each ministry offered in the English church, is offered in the Spanish church, and they have great need of more to help them grow and reach the Spanish community! Eph 1:3 “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: ”

Bookstore – The bookstore is open on Sundays before and after service, and is provided as a means of providing reading material, study guides, and other books of inspiration to the community at a fraction of what you would pay in the big retail stores. This ministry is devoted to the ideal of making the Word and inspiratoon of God available to everyone. If you like books, love to help others shop, and can only volunteer a small amount of time, this ministry can be a blessing to you! Come and join us, and help to make the Word of God available, and help to challenge your brothers and sisters in Christ in their growth!  Col 3:2 ” Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth.”
